Anyone I know in Bismarck? I am going to be talking and signing my latest book, Between Two Freedoms on Saturday (tomorrow, September 6, 2025!) Join me from 2-4 pm at the United Tribes Technical College where the dedication of the Japanese Internment camp memorial at Ft. Lincoln–now the UTTC campus–is taking place. The dedication coincides with the PowWow celebration.
My grandfather, Shiro Kubo was imprisoned there for several months in 1942. Reference to that event is in Between Two Freedoms.

Elaine – yes I have a good friend that lives in Bismarck, Scott and Sandy Olson, he was my best man at my Wedding, he lives on the south side of Bismarck so not far from United Tribes, you may have met him at some time, I will forward this to him and encourage him to go. So we are in Florida, came down last week as we had a spa/jacuzzi being built, I do plan to fly back to Minnesota Mid-October to clean up the leaves and close house up. Are you going to be around in October and/or did you sell your condo
