The Proverbial Cart before the Horse

Cart before the Horse. AI created by ChatGPT

Some days I feel as though I am manifesting Donald Trump in my life. Not that I want to bomb anybody, nor do I want to cover-up the less salient parts of my life (though I am not anxious for anyone to dig very deeply into my illustrious past). In fact, I write to uncover and expose parts of my life that others may not even realize existed.

No, I refer to the television prime time crisis every two weeks process. About the time my life seems to be settling down into a predictable, comfortable pace, I create chaos, uncertainty and angst.

My latest crisis has been caused by selling my wonderful casa in Santa Fe before knowing where or what my forever home would be. I didn’t think my home for the past three years would sell so quickly, but it did. And the new owners take possession in three days.

So this weekend I have had two men helping me load two pods. Cody and Si have been workhorses. And even though I upsized one of my pods, late yesterday afternoon we realized the two pods were not going to be big enough. So with a few clicks on my trusty cell phone, I was able to rent a 10×15′ storage unit! Talk about underestimating how much crap I have!

But the bigger issue is that I have nowhere to move to. Pods and the storage unit are short term fixes. I need a home. I’d like a forever home. Selling before buying was my Cart before the Horse moment. I am extremely lucky that my neighbor, friend and generous Good Samaritan came to my rescue and is letting me stay in her guest bedroom. Another disaster deterred.

But I can’t go back. Done is done. The jam I am in I caused all by myself.

Stay tuned. Something will come up in a couple weeks to create even more chaos, or it will be the resolution to the current mess.

you might want to come and take a look at Tucson, Arizona. The airport is somewhat small and easy to maneuver, the restaurants are fantastic and very diverse, there’s a more liberal open minded vibe to the city aand beautiful mountains surrounding the city and suburbs. Good luck 🍀 in finding a roof over your head!
